The Book of Proverbs (Hebrew: Mishlei, literally “Proverbs”) is part of the Hebrew Bible (Tanach) and the Old Testament.
According to the Bible, King Solomon (Shlomo) asked God for wisdom and knowledge, which were granted to him. The Book of Proverbs is imbued with the light of this gift. The author expounds truths about God and life in the form of poetic speech.
The edition is accompanied by a modern commentary by Itskhah Pintosevich.
The book was published in Russian in 2005 in Kharkiv. Translated by Itskhah Pintosevich.
